About
Having three times dropped out of college in my late teens and early twenties, I decided to go back at 27. I studied film and anthropology but figured at least one practical degree might be a good idea, so I dropped film and picked up archaeology. Indiana Jones always seemed to get steady work. In 2015 I moved to Spain for an excavation, and accepted a job teaching English as a means of acquiring a visa. I taught English and worked a bit in archaeology before realizing nobody would pay me to play in the dirt. At the same time, I was writing more and more and had the good fortune of meeting a great friend who opened the door to journalism for me. I got an apartment with a desk and a dog, picked up a day drinking red wine, and started typing. I currently write for Variety, which has allowed me to travel and make connections across Europe and Latin America. I write exclusively in English professionally but communicate daily in Spanish. In my free time, I write fiction with my friends.
Services
Writing
Writing is my passion and my profession. For pleasure I write, along with my friends: fiction, drama, and comedy, but professionally I am a journalist. I write Primarily freelance for Variety but am always looking for more work. My areas of specialty are: film, TV, VR, sports, and digital entertainment.
Translation
I speak Spanish but my writing is exclusively in English. What that means however, is that I often translate articles, interviews, and other documents from Spanish to English.
Interview
I have conducted numerous interviews with writers, directors, producers, and other talent in the previously mentioned industries and am confident in doing so. I am comfortable interviewing over the phone, Skype, in person, or through email.
Event Coverage
I have been to numerous film, TV, gaming, and technology festivals and enjoy covering them. I love the thrill of a deadline and beating other writers to publish. I am organized, always prudent, and know how to get around in a crowd.
